Five thousand years ago, the prince of the Jingle Kingdom in the ancient East, enlightened by Jiutian Xuannv, lived in obscurity in Wudang Mountains and later gained the Grand Dao. He is the Grand Lord Zhenwu and today the first deity worshipped here in Wudang. Since early, Wudangshan became a holy land for Taoism. Two thousand years ago, the great well being and philosophical giant Laozi and his follower Yinxi both cultivated here. For this sake, Wudang shan is one of the origins for Chinese Taoism. Six hundred years ago, Zhang San-feng, an amazing historical figure, created internal martial arts centered with Taiji Quan, and Wudang Shan again became the birth place for internal martial arts. Wudang Shan, the sacred land for Taoism and original place for internal martial arts, has a circumtance of 400 km. There is the biggest ancient Taoist architecture complex including 8 palaces, 9 temples, 36 shrines and 72 caves, and it also boasts to have the natural wonder of Seventy two peaks bowing to the grand summit, while 24 rivers in rarines flowing permanently downhill From early time Mt Wudang has been reputated as Unparelled Wonderland and First Fairy Mountain Under Heaven Since China adopted the policy of Opening to the outside world and reforming in the late 1970’s, the ancient oriental culture really began to be the common heritage for the whole world. It was from then the mysterious Wudang internal Boxing began to be recognized. Master Zhong was among the first group of young people who were taken in by Wudangshan Taoism Association. He was simple and honest and eager for learning, so he was much favored and cultivated. As a result, he became an authentic descendant of Wudang internal martial arts. Together with Wudangshan Taoism Association, Master Zhong set up the Wudangshan Taoist Marital arts Academy, the first in Wudangshan area. In the past 20 years, it has produced lots of talents of Wudang Wushu for dozens of countries and regions. Thanks to Master Zhong, Wudang wushu has overcomed crisis and now is in the period of inheritance. IT has come out from inside the monasteries; it has passed from China to other countries, from the east to the whole world. Today, martial arts have an enormous vogue below Mt Wudang and at the same time a global upsurge of well-being concern has come into being. In this regard, Master Zhong has played a crucial role. www.wdgf.com was started by Master Zhong Yunlong in 2001. It was one of the few websites then throughout the whole country promoting Taoist culture besides the website of the Wudang Taoist Culture Centre. In 2003, Master Zhong began to lead a life as a hermit in the Yunlong Cave behind the Five Dragon Palace in Wudang Moutains aiming at even higher level of Kung Fu. Despite his absence from the public, this website still went on promoting Taoist culture, Wudang Gongfu and Master Zhong’s thought. In 2009, Master Zhong went out again, under the repetitive invitation from the local government, to give tutoring to the internal martial arts coaches in all the Wushu schools in Wudangshan area. This website is to play an even more active part for the development of Wudang Wushu. In 1994, Wudangshan was formally inscribed on the list of world cultural heritages. Here is the comments then by the UNESCO officials: Mt. Wudang is one of the few places in the world that are most beautiful. Here the ancient oriental wisdom has been merged with the natural charm.
